Tres Leches: Dulce de Leche Cake

1 Jun

Last month almost every week that I keep myself busy doing something that could fill up idle times. This was the last one I made last April then weeks followed before I made the next. Now I’m trying to get back on track again. Soon as I have time I’d love to try Lasagna. I soo love pasta but I was able to make Baked Mac since I started learning cooking. You see I know I love pasta but I also love chocolates as much as I love pasta. crazy!

Since it’s my Pops “10th after golden years birthday” – as what my bro said.. I wanted to make something new – i mean not chocolate but still gives those natural insulin a kick. So after flexing my google muscles I found this Dulce de Leche Cake. Mmmm sounds delightful. Since one of us could eat the half of the cake by herself I made two batches! yes! My Aunt and cousins was able to have a taste of it too!

This cake is different. I think I can go away with this than a chocolate cake. I love the milky taste of the filling and the cake itself. This is definitely a classic and way over the top! But tough luck as it always turns out with whipped cream I make. It was messy again.. But now I know what I’m doing wrong. But whatever it is, the cake still makes up for the icing.

Separating yolks from whites has always been the hardest step for me. Million thanks to this separator as it saves me dozens of eggs to destroy hurrrah! 😀

Add in cake flour, eggs, butter and others and bake away!

Nice golden brown right there. I wish I could find a ready to use dulce de leche it would really save me an hour and a half of time making these.

Tada!!! lols. As usual it wasn’t the nicest looking one but is definitely divine.

Happy Senior’s Day!!!

1 out of 5? ♥♥♥♥♥
